Lívia Mattos, a virtuosic, charismatic and unclassifiable accordionist, hails from Salvador, Bahia, in northeastern Brazil. She has established herself as a distinctive figure on the Brazilian music scene. With a magnetic stage presence and a unique approach to her instrument, she moves freely between forró, samba and other Brazilian traditions, merging them with modern and experimental expressions.
